England have announced their starting lineup for the 2026 World Cup Round of 32 match against DR Congo in Atlanta. Manager Thomas Tuchel has implemented tactical changes to the side, influenced by injuries in the defensive line and the return of key midfielder Declan Rice.
With Reece James and Jarell Quansah sidelined through injury, Djed Spence earns the start at right-back. The return of Declan Rice to the midfield pairing with Elliot Anderson allows Jude Bellingham to shift into the number 10 role, replacing Morgan Rogers in the starting XI.
In the attack, Noni Madueke is drafted in to replace Bukayo Saka, who continues his recovery from an Achilles tendon issue.
England starting XI: Jordan Pickford; Djed Spence, Ezri Konsa, Marc Guéhi and Nico O'Reilly; Elliot Anderson, Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Noni Madueke and Marcus Rashford; Harry Kane.
The winner of this knockout clash will move on to face Mexico in the Round of 16. That match is scheduled for Sunday, July 5, at Estadio Azteca.
