Coventry City sign goalkeeper Dan Bentley from Wolves

Coventry City have completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Dan Bentley from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 33-year-old has penned a two-year contract with the Sky Blues.

Bentley departs Molineux after three and a half years, having made 17 senior appearances since his arrival in January 2023. Frank Lampard moved to secure the shot-stopper following his involvement in Wolves' opening two fixtures of the 2026-27 season across the Championship and Carabao Cup.

The veteran keeper is expected to provide crucial depth and leadership to the dressing room. He will now compete with first-choice stopper Carl Rushworth for the gloves as the club prepares for a demanding top-flight return.

Bentley brings extensive experience from his time at Southend United, Brentford, and Bristol City, where he earned Player of the Year honours in 2021. His arrival comes at a vital time, with Coventry set to kick off their Premier League campaign against reigning champions Arsenal this Friday.
