England arrive in Florida for pre-World Cup training camp

England's squad and head coach Thomas Tuchel have arrived in West Palm Beach, Florida, to begin preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

England have officially begun their preparations for the 2026 World Cup, arriving in the United States for a pre-tournament training camp. Head coach Thomas Tuchel and a portion of his squad flew into West Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday to set up their base.

Several players, including Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze, Bukayo Saka, and Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson, are set to join the group later due to their involvement in European finals last week. Tuchel has also invited young talents such as Alex Scott, Rio Ngumoha, Josh King, and Ethan Nwaneri, alongside Brighton goalkeeper Jason Steele, to participate in the camp.

To manage the significant challenge of adjusting to the sweltering heat and new time zones, Tuchel encouraged his players to spend their vacation in the US or the Caribbean. The squad is scheduled to hold their first training session on Tuesday morning, with local temperatures expected to reach up to 31C.

England will play two warm-up fixtures before the tournament officially opens on 11 June, facing New Zealand on 6 June and Costa Rica on 10 June. Following the conclusion of the Florida camp, the team will relocate to their permanent tournament training base in Kansas City, Missouri.
