Unai Emery confirms offers received for Ollie Watkins

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has confirmed that the club has received formal offers for star striker Ollie Watkins. The England international has emerged as a primary target for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

Watkins' potential exit would add to an already significant exodus at Villa Park this summer. The club has already sanctioned the departures of several key players, including Ezri Konsa and Morgan Rogers, leading to a major squad overhaul.

Uncertainty also persists around goalkeeper Emi Martinez. While a move to Juventus previously collapsed, the Argentine remains a target for other clubs. In response, Villa have already secured Japan international Zion Suzuki to bolster their goalkeeping options.

If Watkins and Martinez both depart, Villa will have offloaded more than half of the starting XI that won the Europa League just two months ago. This turnover places immense pressure on the club's recruitment team to find adequate replacements before the transfer window closes.
