Botafogo completes permanent signing of defender Ferraresi

Botafogo has officially announced the permanent signing of central defender Nahuel Ferraresi. The Venezuelan international, who had been playing for the club on loan, has now completed a full transfer following an agreement with São Paulo.

The 27-year-old has committed his future to the club by signing a contract that runs until the end of 2029. Since his arrival at the start of 2026, Ferraresi has become a regular fixture in the starting XI, making 22 appearances and scoring one goal for the team.

This move provides much-needed stability to a defensive line that has faced challenges this season. Ferraresi successfully earned his spot in the rotation, forming a consistent partnership with young defender Gabriel Justino. His ability to cover the right-back position also provides the coaching staff with valuable tactical versatility.

Beyond his club duties, Ferraresi remains a key figure for the Venezuela national team, having earned 42 caps. The defender is set to return to action for Botafogo this Monday, August 24, at 8:00 PM (Brasília time), in their match against Athletico-PR for the 24th round of the Brasileirão.
