Serhiy Shyshchenko: 'I am proud of the guys, our victory was stolen'

Bukovyna head coach Serhiy Shyshchenko shared his emotions following the 8th round UPL match against Polissya, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The coach expressed pride in his team's performance but openly stated that he believes the final result was unfair.

"It was a very difficult match. We understood who we were playing against: Polissya is a strong team, a championship contender. I believe we played a very disciplined match and handled the opponent's pressure. However, I am very grateful to the guys for this game and I am proud of them. I believe our victory was stolen today," said Shyshchenko.

The lengthy air raid alarm, which paused the game for nearly 90 minutes, proved beneficial for Bukovyna. After the restart, the team shifted their approach and became significantly more aggressive in attack.

After the break, we became a completely different team and started playing more aggressively. During the air raid alarm, we analyzed the game in the locker room, and I emphasized that we needed to be more active in attack. Serhiy Shyshchenko

Shyshchenko highlighted that his team demonstrated a high level of tactical discipline, particularly in transition phases and defensive actions, causing substantial problems for one of the league's top sides.
