Arda Turan backs Dmytro Riznyk following national team error

Shakhtar Donetsk head coach Arda Turan has addressed the performance of goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk during Ukraine's Nations League match against Northern Ireland, which ended in a 0:3 defeat.

As for Riznyk, to be honest, I have not discussed anything specific with him on this topic. It is important to emphasize that I always support and respect him, and this applies not only to the episode that happened in the Nations League match for the Ukraine national team. I always respect and love him. Football is a game of mistakes, and sometimes this happens, so I am sure he did not have any problems with it. Arda Turan

The manager noted that he did not hold a specific conversation with the player regarding the incident. Turan insisted that his trust and appreciation for the goalkeeper remain intact regardless of the outcome of the international match.
