Maresca reflects on Manchester City's victory against Liverpool

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has reflected on his side's impressive 3-0 away victory against Liverpool in the 6th round of the Premier League. The match at Anfield proved to be a significant challenge, which the visitors navigated successfully.

Maresca highlighted the difficult conditions and the intense atmosphere at the stadium. He admitted that his team struggled with their ball circulation in the first half but managed to make the necessary tactical adjustments during the interval to control the game better.

Very difficult circumstances and atmosphere. We need to learn how to deal with this noise because it will accompany us in all away matches. At the same time, we must create our own noise, and our noise is winning matches. Enzo Maresca

The manager also praised the performance of Jeremy Doku, whose goal he described as incredible, while noting that the club must remain cautious regarding his fitness following a recent injury.

Addressing the long build-up preceding the third goal, Maresca acknowledged that having an extra player on the pitch made possession easier, but he expressed satisfaction with the three points. Regarding distractions outside of football, the manager stated he remains focused solely on the game plan and training, as other matters remain beyond his control.
