Crystal Palace have officially appointed former Lens head coach Pierre Sage as their new manager. The 47-year-old Frenchman has signed a three-year contract at Selhurst Park, taking over from Oliver Glasner following a highly successful tenure for the club.

Sage has already secured a work permit and is scheduled to begin his duties on July 6. This timeline allows him to settle in before the squad reports for pre-season training on July 10. His backroom staff will include assistant Jamal Alioui, while current coaches Paddy McCarthy and Andy Quy remain to provide continuity.

The appointment comes at a high point for the club, which is still celebrating recent European success and a 2025 FA Cup triumph. Sage is tasked with building on this foundation as Palace prepares for an upcoming Europa League campaign.

I dream of managing in England. It is the best country for football with an incredible quality in the Premier League. Pierre Sage

Sage’s reputation has grown significantly following his work in Ligue 1. During his time at Lens, he led the side to a second-place finish behind Paris Saint-Germain and secured the club's first-ever Coupe de France title. He now transitions to the Premier League with a clear mandate to maintain the club's competitive edge.
