Premier League clubs Everton and Crystal Palace have officially completed a swap deal involving Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson. As part of the agreement, 26-year-old McNeil heads to Selhurst Park, while 25-year-old Johnson moves to Goodison Park on a four-year contract.
For McNeil, the move marks a successful conclusion to his pursuit by Palace after a deal almost materialized in February. At that time, a loan-to-buy agreement worth £20 million collapsed at the final hurdle due to paperwork delays, despite the player having completed his medical examinations.
Brennan Johnson, the Wales international, joined Crystal Palace in January in a deal valued at £35 million. During his time at Selhurst Park, the 25-year-old made 26 appearances across all competitions but failed to score. He now looks to revitalize his career with a fresh start at Everton.
