PSG head coach Luis Enrique has shared his thoughts on the performance of Ukrainian central defender Illia Zabarnyi. The Spanish manager spoke positively about the player's characteristics, noting that the club secured a talent with a unique skill set.
When we signed Zabarnyi, we gained a player with special qualities. He is a central defender who is excellent on the ball, but he also performs very well in situations where our team does not have control of the game. Luis Enrique
In addition to his defensive work, Enrique highlighted the Ukrainian's ability to contribute offensively. Specifically, the coach pointed to a goal scored by Zabarnyi against Troyes, noting that the defender is comfortable in the opponent's penalty area and can assist the team beyond his core defensive duties.
Despite his praise, Enrique made it clear that he continues to expect more from all his players, including Zabarnyi. According to the coach, the defender has significant potential for further growth, and his contribution to the team's success is expected to increase as he continues to adapt and develop.
