In the 9th round of Ligue 1, PSG dominated Le Havre with a 5-1 victory. The standout performer was captain and right-back Achraf Hakimi, who delivered the most productive match of his professional career, contributing three goals and two assists.
This hat-trick marked the first time the 27-year-old Moroccan has achieved the feat at club or international level in 486 official appearances. He is only the fourth player in the top five European leagues over the last four seasons to record 5 goal contributions in a single match. The last time this was achieved in Ligue 1 was by Neymar in August 2022.
It's a great night for me, especially because we won, and also because it's my first hat-trick. I'm happy and I hope to score as many goals as possible in this shirt. Achraf Hakimi
The win was also historic for Luis Enrique, who secured his 127th victory as manager of the Parisian club. He surpassed Laurent Blanc to become the most successful coach in the club's history by total wins.
After a shaky start to the season, where the club picked up only 2 points in their opening three games, PSG has found their rhythm, extending their winning streak to nine games across all competitions. They now sit alone at the top of the French league table, two points clear of Lille.
