Girona suffer second straight loss as Vanat and Pyshchur fail to spark comeback
The Catalan side fell to a narrow 0-1 defeat against Almeria in the 13th round of the Spanish second division. Both Ukrainians featured in the match.

Girona were unable to halt their poor run of form in the Segunda, succumbing to a 0-1 home defeat against Almeria. The match was decided in the second half by Almeria forward Miguel de la Fuente, who scored the only goal of the game in the 67th minute.
Ukrainian forward Vladyslav Vanat started for the hosts and played 83 minutes before being substituted for his compatriot, Oleksandr Pyshchur. However, the introduction of the second Ukrainian failed to help Girona secure a result.
This defeat marks Girona's second consecutive loss in the league by the same scoreline, following their recent defeat to Real Sociedad B.
The club currently sits in eighth place in the league table with 21 points. Girona are set to return to action on November 14th with an away match against Real Oviedo.
