England captain Harry Kane has addressed speculation regarding a future return to the Premier League. The striker, who moved to Bayern Munich in 2023, revealed that the ambition to chase down Alan Shearer's all-time scoring record of 260 goals is no longer a primary focus.

During his time at Tottenham, Kane scored 213 goals in the English top flight, leaving him 47 short of the record. Since his transfer to Germany, he has been prolific, netting 61 goals in 51 appearances last season and securing the Bundesliga Golden Shoe.

When I first left, for sure it was something I thought - I would definitely be coming back. That itch isn't there as much anymore. I am extremely happy here in Munich, it opened my eyes to a totally different world of football outside of England. Harry Kane

Kane emphasized how settled he and his family feel in Munich. He also praised the impact of head coach Vincent Kompany, crediting the manager with elevating his game to the best version of himself.

While the forward noted that one should never say never in football, he is currently committed to Bayern Munich and is set to begin discussions regarding a new contract with the German giants.
