French club Troyes has officially presented its first three signings, aiming to bolster the squad for the upcoming Ligue 1 campaign. The new recruits include midfielders Iron Gomis and Hugo Picard, along with Australian goalkeeper Patrick Beach.
Iron Gomis, who arrived as a free agent, has signed a two-year deal. The 26-year-old midfielder expressed his desire to return to France and noted his quick alignment with coach Stéphane Dumont's tactical plans. Sporting director Jocelyn Blanchard praised the player's versatility and physical presence in midfield.
Patrick Beach joins from Melbourne City on a contract running until 2031. The 23-year-old goalkeeper highlighted his passion for the game and his comfort with the ball at his feet. Blanchard expressed his optimism that the young Australian could evolve into a top-level keeper, noting his promising performance levels.
Hugo Picard returns to France from Columbus Crew on a loan deal with an option to buy. Eager to prove himself in Ligue 1, Picard offers flexibility across the midfield and wings. Blanchard praised his speed and combative spirit, noting that his prior experience working under the current coach in Guingamp helped facilitate the move.
The club's sporting director confirmed that recruitment is ongoing. Troyes is currently looking to add at least one more striker and an attacking midfielder to complete the squad's development for the upcoming season.
