Tottenham Hotspur have aggressively moved to pursue Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson. Manager Roberto De Zerbi has made the Senegalese forward a primary target to strengthen the team's attack ahead of the upcoming season.
Reports suggest the Spurs board are seriously considering a move for the 25-year-old, though official negotiations with Chelsea have yet to commence.
Jackson spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and is currently outside the technical plans at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are reportedly willing to sanction a sale, setting an initial asking price of 65 million pounds for the international forward.
Tottenham face competition from Aston Villa, who have already initiated early discussions with Chelsea to explore a deal. The pursuit of a striker follows a productive window for Tottenham, which has already seen the club overhaul its defence and midfield under the direction of the Italian manager.
