Real Madrid has revised its plans regarding the future of 18-year-old midfielder Franco Mastantuono. According to journalist Matteo Moretto, the Spanish club has halted negotiations with River Plate regarding a potential return for the Argentine, preferring instead to see him continue his development within the European football system.
Currently, the most significant interest in the player is coming from Serie A. Fiorentina and Roma have been identified as potential destinations for a loan move.
Previously, it was reported that Madrid was prepared to sanction a loan move without an option to buy, aiming to provide the player with consistent playing time. Since joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2025, the Argentine has made 35 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
