Local police, with the support of Barcelona security, have identified the fan who attacked Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga during Saturday's match at Camp Nou. The incident occurred in the 87th minute as the visitors celebrated their second goal.

According to La Liga, the fan, a member of the Gol 1957 group, struck the player with a flag. The case has been referred to the Spanish Football Federation's disciplinary committee. If classified as a serious offense, the culprit could face a fine of up to 60,000 euros and a stadium ban ranging from six months to two years.

Barcelona management responded immediately, announcing the suspension of the Gol 1957 fan sector for the upcoming La Liga match against Alaves. The club stated this action follows several disciplinary proceedings due to behavior that contradicts sporting values and damages the club's image.

Representatives of the club are set to meet with leaders of the fan groups within the Gol 1957 union. The goal is to reach an agreement on respectful support for the team to avoid further threats to club assets and reputation, with hopes to reopen the section before the November Champions League match against Aston Villa.
