Gerry Cardinale, founder of investment firm RedBird Capital Partners, has confirmed interest in acquiring Saudi club Al-Nassr. The discussions are currently in the preliminary stages as the investment group evaluates the potential for expanding its football portfolio, which already includes Italian side AC Milan and French club Toulouse.

Cardinale emphasized his extensive work in the Middle East and his openness to managing multiple clubs within the group. A key point of interest for the investor is Cristiano Ronaldo, whose current contract with the club runs until June 2027. Cardinale expressed a desire to meet with the Portuguese star to discuss his potential involvement in the club's development once he retires from professional football.

I would like to meet with Ronaldo, as I am interested in knowing what he plans to do after his playing career ends and what his future participation in the development of the Saudi club could be. Gerry Cardinale

Meanwhile, Ronaldo continues his pursuit of 1,000 career goals. Following a hat-trick in a 5-3 victory against Al-Kholood, the forward is now just 15 goals away from reaching the historic milestone.
