Following Real Madrid's 4:1 victory over Sevilla, defender Marc Cucurella insisted that the squad must maintain maximum concentration. The full-back noted that a hectic schedule demands constant intensity, and recent struggles in Europe served as a vital lesson for the team.
Reflecting on the midweek fixture against Roma, Cucurella admitted that the match served as a reality check for the squad. Despite the positive result against Sevilla, he believes the team's ability to turn around difficult situations is key to their success.
In the end, when you win, everything is better and easier. We had a scare on Wednesday in Rome, but we managed to turn it around. That served as a lesson that we have to give 100 per cent in every game and cannot relax for a single minute. Marc Cucurella
Cucurella further highlighted the importance of squad depth as the season progresses. He noted that every player, whether starting or coming off the bench, has a role to play in maintaining the team's competitive edge across all tournaments.
Looking ahead, Real Madrid is now preparing for a crucial Champions League showdown against RB Leipzig at the Santiago Bernabeu.
