Flick: Barcelona's past week was far from ideal

Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick expressed his dissatisfaction following the 1-2 home defeat to Real Madrid in the tenth round of La Liga.

The German manager pointed to the team's physical condition as the primary reason for the result, noting that the squad was not at its peak performance level during the match.

Today it was obvious that we were not 100% physically prepared. We are not playing at our highest level, and today's error was related to a lack of physical freshness. Hans-Dieter Flick

Despite managing the game well in the second half and equalizing, Barcelona conceded a decisive goal on a counter-attack late in the match. The result marks the team's first loss in the league after a 10-match unbeaten streak.

Flick acknowledged that the past week has been difficult, following a defeat in Paris and the recent setback in the league, but emphasized that the club remains at the top of the table. The team now has a full week to recover their energy before their upcoming home match against Alaves.
