Mbappé's mother enforces strict mobile phone ban at Caen training center

Fayza Lamari, the mother of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé, has taken a firm stance regarding the project led by her family at the French club Caen. She has implemented an exceptional rule banning the use of mobile phones within the training center.

Mathieu Bodmer, the club's new sporting director, has publicly lauded the decision. Returning to his former club to build a long-term project spanning from the youth academy to the first team, Bodmer believes the restriction fosters a better environment for the players.

Bodmer, who joined the club following his tenure at Le Havre, is focused on guiding Caen back to the second division. The project, spearheaded by club president Ziad Hammoud and the Mbappé family—who acquired approximately 80% of the club's shares in the summer of 2024—prioritizes nutrition, education, and team cohesion.

While Bodmer has yet to meet with Kylian Mbappé since his appointment, he remains focused on the club's resurgence. Managed by Gaël Clichy, Caen is set to begin its campaign in the French third division next Friday, hosting Valenciennes in the season opener.
