Raul Asencio: Mbappe deserves the 2026 Ballon d'Or

Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio has voiced his support for teammate Kylian Mbappe to win the 2026 Ballon d'Or. The Spaniard, who trains alongside the French forward daily, highlighted his clinical performance as a deciding factor.

It would be fair. I see him every day, and for me, he is the best player among all the nominees. If we talk purely about football, Kylian is the best. He is the top scorer in all categories. This is an individual award. Raul Asencio

Mbappe continues to perform at an elite level, remaining a central figure for Real Madrid. His consistency and goal tally serve as the primary arguments for his candidacy in the prestigious award race.

The shortlist for the 2026 award features other global stars, including Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane, PSG winger Ousmane Dembele, Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, and Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal.
