After Real Madrid secured an away victory against Barcelona in the tenth round of La Liga, head coach Jose Mourinho took aim at the media for their lack of recognition for goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.
The Portuguese manager was frustrated that no questions regarding the goalkeeper were raised during the post-match press conference. He noted that had the player's actions cost them the win, he would have been the primary focus of their inquiries.
You guys didn't ask a single question about Andriy Lunin. If his actions had cost us the win, that would have been your first question. But he played very calmly, and I always tell him that he trains to end up playing like this. Jose Mourinho
Mourinho emphasized that Lunin's composure during the El Clasico victory was a direct reflection of his dedication in training. The club is now preparing for their next league match away at Racing Santander.
