Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his pride after his side secured a narrow victory over Liverpool in their ninth Premier League outing. The solitary goal proved enough for the visitors to collect all three points in a match defined by high intensity and tactical discipline.
The result marks a significant milestone for the club, ending a 14-year winless streak at Liverpool's home ground. Arteta highlighted the squad's maturity in managing the chaotic nature of the game, acknowledging that the hosts were quick to capitalize on any loose passes or clearances.
This victory is for everyone connected to our football club. Fourteen years without a win at this ground is a long time. At times the game was very slow, but we created six or seven goal-scoring chances. If you make an inaccurate pass or clear the ball poorly, the game suddenly becomes chaotic and the opponent immediately launches an attack. The way our team handled that nature of the game is simply stunning. Mikel Arteta
The manager expressed satisfaction with the team's current form and described the final outcome as a logical result of their efforts. He insisted that the manner in which his players secured the victory is worthy of the highest praise.
