Barcelona are prepared to part ways with defender Alejandro Balde. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan side is not considering any loan options for the 23-year-old during the winter transfer window, as they are looking for a permanent sale to generate funds for defensive reinforcements.
Balde has struggled for minutes this season, appearing in only four matches across all competitions without recording a goal or an assist. His current situation has made him surplus to requirements as the club looks to reshape its squad.
Benfica and Manchester United have maintained a consistent interest in the young defender. With his market value estimated at 40 million euros, Barcelona hope that a permanent transfer will provide the necessary financial boost for their January recruitment plans.
