Scarlett Camberos recreates Cuauhtémoc Blanco's famous celebration against Chivas

América secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Chivas in the final round of the Apertura 2026 Liga MX Femenil season. While the win was dominant, the standout moment came from Scarlett Camberos, who paid tribute to club legend Cuauhtémoc Blanco with his iconic 'Temoseñal' celebration.
The goal arrived in the 59th minute following a lethal counter-attack. Montserrat Saldívar provided the assist for Camberos, who finished clinically to extend the lead. She immediately broke into the famous pose that defined Blanco’s career in Mexican football.
The origin of the celebration was previously explained by former player Germán Villa. During a training camp while watching an Atlético Madrid match, the duo decided to adopt the celebration after seeing Kiko Narváez perform a similar motion with his arms, officially birthing the 'Temoseñal'.
The match itself was controlled by the visitors. Gabriela García opened the scoring with a header from a Nancy Antonio cross, and Alexa Soto doubled the lead in the second half before Camberos sealed the result. Chivas eventually scored a consolation goal from an Alicia Cervantes penalty following a controversial decision.
