Juventus defender Juan David Cabal has been recalled to the Colombian national team. Head coach Néstor Lorenzo included the fullback in his 26-man roster for the upcoming double-header against Chile, with matches scheduled for November 13 in Cali and November 17 in Santiago.

The call-up comes just one day after a controversial episode involving Cabal during Juventus' 2-1 Europa League victory over AZ Alkmaar. The Colombian entered the match in the 60th minute, replacing Andrea Cambiaso.

During the match, the player was nearly confronted physically by his own coach, Luciano Spalletti, who directed a strong verbal reprimand at him in the bench area following a disputed play. Luciano Spalletti

Cabal's performance was rated modestly, receiving a 6.2 from Sofascore. While Juventus secured the three points thanks to a strong showing from Randal Kolo Muani, who scored and assisted Teun Koopmeiners, the team remains in fifth place in the standings with ten points, still trailing the leaders Benfica, Bournemouth, and Ferencváros.
