Roma eye January move for Forbs as Endrick alternative
Roma are monitoring Club Brugge winger Forbs following his standout Champions League performance. He is being considered as an alternative to Endrick.
Roma are actively searching for attacking reinforcements and have set their sights on Club Brugge's 20-year-old winger, Forbs. The Portuguese forward, who developed through the youth systems of Sporting CP, Manchester City, and Ajax, has become a primary target for the Italian side.
Roma scouts watched Forbs in person during his impressive performance at the San Siro against Inter Milan. The winger provided three assists in that Champions League fixture, helping his side score four goals. So far this season, he has recorded four goals and eight assists across all competitions.
The coaching staff is looking for an attacking player who can provide depth behind the current forwards and offer versatility. Forbs’ ability to play wide on the right, cover the entire flank, or act as a wing-back, aligns with the club's desire to adopt a more aggressive tactical approach.
While Endrick remains the priority target, Roma faces financial competition and resistance from the player's parent club. Consequently, a move for Forbs could gain traction in January. However, sporting director D'Amico faces a challenge, as Club Brugge is not interested in loan deals and values the player between 15 and 20 million euros, with his contract running until 30 June 2029.
