RB Leipzig secured a dominant victory over Hamburg, who have now suffered back-to-back 5-0 defeats in the Bundesliga.

RB Leipzig delivered a commanding performance in their third Bundesliga match of the 2026/27 season, cruising to a 5-0 victory over Hamburg at the Red Bull Arena.
The hosts established control early, with Tidiane Gomis and Antonio Nusa finding the net in the first half. The momentum continued after the break, as Leipzig scored three times in five minutes through Willi Orban, Christopher Nkunku, and Romulo.
For Hamburg, this marks their second consecutive 5-0 defeat. The team managed by Merlin Polzin is currently in a deep crisis, having failed to score in any of their opening three matches, which leaves them at the bottom of the league table with zero points.
The result moves RB Leipzig to six points, sitting fourth in the standings. Looking ahead, Leipzig will travel to face Bayer Leverkusen on September 20, while Hamburg aim to regroup when they host Cologne on September 19.
