The final day of the Premier League season has locked in the remaining European spots. Liverpool secured the final Champions League position after a draw with Brentford, joining Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Aston Villa in next season's premier competition.
The race for the Europa League produced a major shock. Bournemouth finished sixth despite their draw with Nottingham Forest. Meanwhile, Sunderland pulled off a dramatic climb to seventh place with a 2-1 victory over Chelsea. This marks a historic achievement, as the Black Cats become the tenth team since the Premier League's inception to qualify for Europe immediately following promotion.
Elsewhere, Brighton claimed the final spot for the Conference League. Despite a heavy defeat to Manchester United, other results falling their way ensured the Seagulls will compete in the competition for the first time in their history.
The final composition of these spots could still shift on May 27. If Crystal Palace defeats Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League final, they will join Bournemouth and Sunderland in the Europa League for the 2026-27 campaign.
