Thomas Muller and teammates acquire stake in Portuguese club Estrela Amadora

A group of high-profile footballers, including Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Yann Sommer, and Lucas Hernandez, has become the new majority owner of the Portuguese club Estrela Amadora. The club confirmed that a consortium has completed the acquisition of a 90% stake in its capital.

The purchase was carried out by an international consortium led by ADvantage and LEAD, with support from the KI Group. This new shareholding structure brings together investors with expertise in sports, investment, and technology, alongside strategic football figures like Muller, Hummels, Sommer, and Hernandez.

As part of the leadership transition, Johannes Mosmang has been named the new president, replacing Paulo Lopo. Mosmang brings a decade of experience from Bayern Munich, where he worked in the professional player department, collaborating closely with staff, coaches, and players.

Mosmang stated that his goal is to contribute to the sustained growth of the club while protecting its identity and deep connection to the city of Amadora. He highlighted the club's history and the significant advantage of owning its own stadium as key factors for future development.
