Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has travelled to Finland to seek medical clearance, a vital step before completing a permanent transfer to La Liga side Celta Vigo.
The player, who previously underwent surgery on a hamstring injury, is meeting with the specialist who performed the operation. He is expected to stay in Finland for several days while awaiting an official green light from the doctors, which will allow formal negotiations to proceed.
This move represents a chance for a fresh start for the midfielder, whose time at Anfield has been hampered by persistent fitness issues. Limited to just 22 appearances for Liverpool, his recent loan spells at Red Bull Salzburg and Las Palmas failed to provide the breakthrough he needed to solidify a starting role.
Celta Vigo remain the frontrunners for his signature, as the club played a key role in his development before he moved to England in 2021. Their manager, Claudio Giraldez, has already held direct talks to convince the youngster to return to his home country.
