NBA star Victor Wembanyama spent his summer break away from the basketball court in an unexpected way. The 2.24-metre tall San Antonio Spurs player participated in a friendly football match at the Katy Sports Complex in Houston, displaying surprising technical ability while wearing a Paris Saint-Germain jersey.
Wembanyama reportedly scored two goals during the match. One of his strikes was followed by a celebration where he crossed his arms over his chest in the signature style of French star Kylian Mbappe. He also delighted onlookers with skillful individual tricks, including a roulette.
This is not the first time Wembanyama has shared his love for football. Last summer, he scored from a direct free-kick during a friendly in Tokyo, and he was also spotted at the 2026 World Cup final. Despite his football exploits, his primary focus in Houston remains basketball training under the guidance of NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon.
