Frustration is growing within the Newcastle dressing room regarding the club's summer transfer policy and specific tactical decisions made by head coach Matthias Jaissle. Some players feel the summer recruitment failed to adequately replace key departures, namely Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, and Anthony Gordon.
Following the sale of these leading figures, the club spent approximately 262.9 million pounds on eight new signings. However, many have failed to meet expectations early on. Players such as Alladi Bamba, Bazoumana Toure, and Matias Fernandez-Pardo are still adapting, while Amar Dedic and goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek have already made costly errors. Sources suggest these newcomers are struggling to cope with the intensity of the Premier League.
Questions have also been raised regarding Jaissle's tactical setup. Players are reportedly concerned about his preference for a midfield two, which often leaves the team overrun in the center. Some have drawn comparisons to Ruben Amorim's time at Manchester United, criticizing a perceived inflexibility in the game plan.
Despite this, Jaissle retains the support of the dressing room. Players acknowledge their own responsibility for the poor results and are not calling for a managerial change. Tensions were heightened following a 1-0 defeat to Everton, after which Jaissle publicly criticized his squad for failing to follow the tactical plan.
Newcastle are currently on a five-game winless streak in the Premier League and sit 13th in the table. Their next challenge is an away trip to face Fulham.
