Napoli are facing internal turmoil following a difficult period. During their recent defeat to Porto, Kevin De Bruyne and Lorenzo Lucca were involved in a heated on-pitch argument. Post-match, Matteo Politano publicly complained about a lack of communication from foreign players, while Scott McTominay urged the squad to go home and reflect on their performance.
As a result, the squad has been placed in a training camp until the upcoming match against Lazio. President Aurelio De Laurentiis is reportedly considering sacking Massimiliano Allegri if the team suffers another heavy defeat, despite the financial implications of such a decision.
Sergio Conceicao has emerged as a primary candidate for the role. The Portuguese coach, who is familiar with Serie A, recently turned down an offer from Fenerbahce as he waits for an opportunity in one of Europe's top five leagues. Stefano Pioli also remains an option, having been spotted watching Napoli from the stands on several occasions.
