The funeral for Tenerife forward Jesus de Miguel took place on Thursday in Navahermosa, Toledo. The 30-year-old footballer passed away on Tuesday following a serious injury sustained during a Spanish second division match on Monday.

During the match against FC Andorra, De Miguel collided with the opposing goalkeeper, Jesus Owono, and required immediate medical attention on the pitch. Despite being taken to the hospital, he could not be saved. The match was abandoned following the incident, and the goalkeeper was sent off.
