Despite a hard-fought victory over AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League mid-week, the future of Manchester United manager Michael Carrick remains uncertain due to an underwhelming start to the season.
The club is actively exploring managerial options, yet no candidate has emerged as a clear favorite. Negotiations with former Newcastle boss Eddie Howe were paused after both parties discussed their visions for the project, and the club decided to take a break from the talks.
The situation remains similar for other potential successors, including Julian Nagelsmann and current Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler. Manchester United is yet to make a final decision regarding whether to part ways with Carrick.
