Luis Enrique can equal Zidane's Champions League record
PSG coach Luis Enrique is one victory away from becoming only the second manager to win consecutive Champions League titles.
Luis Enrique, the head coach of PSG, is on the verge of joining an elite group of managers. Following his team's triumph over Inter Milan in the 2024/25 final, the Spaniard has successfully led his side back to the competition's ultimate stage.
In the 2025/26 final, PSG will face Arsenal. A victory would see Enrique become only the second manager in the history of the Champions League to win the trophy in two consecutive seasons.
Currently, the only manager to have achieved this feat is Zinedine Zidane. The French coach guided Real Madrid to three consecutive titles during the 2015/16, 2016/17, and 2017/18 campaigns.
For his counterpart, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, the upcoming final represents a chance to claim his first-ever Champions League crown. Winning the trophy would not only mark a historic milestone for the Gunners but would also prevent Luis Enrique from matching Zidane’s legendary record.
