Uefa Super Cup: Can Paris St-Germain make it three Champions Leagues in a row?

After securing back-to-back Champions League titles, Paris St-Germain are now chasing an unprecedented third consecutive trophy. Should they succeed, Luis Enrique's side would join an elite group alongside Real Madrid, who achieved the feat between 2016 and 2018.
Before their European title defense begins, PSG face a stern test against Europa League winners Aston Villa in the Uefa Super Cup, taking place this Wednesday in Salzburg.
The club is competing for six trophies this season, and they enter every competition as favorites. With a potential clean sweep on the line, PSG are aiming to become the first major team to secure six pieces of silverware in a single campaign.
However, squad fatigue could be a factor. With 16 players returning from the World Cup, including several who reached the final stages, the team has had only 24 days of rest before this midweek clash. Despite the quick turnaround, the core of the team remains unchanged from their two successful European final runs.
The squad has seen minimal movement, with new arrivals like Maghnes Akliouche, Lucas Digne, and goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni joining the ranks. Meanwhile, the club continues to be linked with a move for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres.
