Jose Juan Macias nears comeback at Pumas training base

Mexican striker Jose Juan Macias is entering the final phase of his rehabilitation following a long-term injury. After spending several months working on his recovery independently, Macias has returned to the Pumas facilities at the Cantera to complete the final necessary steps of his fitness process.

The return to the club's infrastructure marks a significant step forward for the striker. Current reports suggest that November is the target month for Macias to return to activity, initially aiming to regain match fitness or earn a spot on the bench. His return would provide Pumas with an additional attacking option for the remainder of the season.

Macias is under contract with Pumas until December 2027, and the club remains committed to integrating him into a forward line alongside Juninho, Guillermo Martinez, and Robert Morales. Before suffering a ligament tear against Cruz Azul in the 2025 Apertura, Macias had made a positive impact, recording four goals and two assists in 11 matches.
