Barcelona thrash Valencia to go top of La Liga
Hansi Flick's side secured their fourth consecutive win in La Liga with a dominant 5-0 victory over Valencia.

Barcelona continued their perfect start to the 2026/27 La Liga season with a resounding 5-0 victory over Valencia away from home. Hansi Flick’s side maintained their dominant form, securing a fourth consecutive win in as many games.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 6th minute and later added his second of the match. Fermin Lopez also found the net before halftime to extend the visitors' lead. In the second half, Raphinha and Pedri completed the scoring to seal a comprehensive win.
With this result, Barcelona sit at the top of the La Liga table with 12 points from four matches. Valencia, meanwhile, remain at the bottom of the standings with only a single point.
Barcelona will now turn their attention to the Champions League, where they are set to host Feyenoord this Wednesday. Following that, they face an away trip to Levante in domestic action on September 13th. Valencia will look to bounce back when they travel to face Sevilla on September 11th.
