Genoa complete permanent signing of Tommaso Baldanzi

Midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi has officially become a permanent player for Genoa. The club activated their purchase option following a successful loan spell during the latter half of the 2025/26 campaign.

According to the official announcement, the transfer fee is approximately €9.5 million. The 23-year-old midfielder has committed his future to the club by signing a contract that runs until the end of the 2029/30 season.

Baldanzi is already well-integrated into the squad, having made 8 appearances and provided two assists during his loan period. The move marks another chapter in his collaboration with manager Daniele De Rossi, who first signed him for Roma in 2024 before facilitating his two loan spells at Genoa.

The deal bolsters Genoa's attacking options with a player familiar with the technical setup. Having already established a strong working relationship with the coaching staff, Baldanzi is expected to play a central role in the team's plans for the coming years.
