Everton sign Australia striker Holly McNamara

Everton have officially signed Australian striker Holly McNamara on a free transfer. The 23-year-old forward joins the club following the expiration of her contract with Melbourne City.

McNamara becomes Everton's fourth summer signing, following arrivals such as Noemie Mouchon, Hannah Cain, and Zara Kramzar. The club noted that they successfully competed against a wide range of top teams from across Europe and the United States to secure her signature.

A two-time winner of the A-League Golden Boot, McNamara was also named the league's young player of the year in 2022. She also played a role in helping the Australia national team reach the 2026 Women's Asian Cup final.

McNamara will wear the number nine shirt for the Toffees. She expressed her excitement about playing in the Women's Super League, describing it as the most competitive league in the world where every team has the potential to beat anyone.
