Epicentr beats Chernihiv to reach Ukrainian Cup quarter-finals

Epicentr secured a dramatic 2-1 away victory against Chernihiv in the Round of 16 of the Ukrainian Cup. Serhii Nahorniak's side managed to overcome the finalists from last season's tournament.

The visitors opened the scoring midway through the first half when Mykola Myroniuk found space at the far post to net the opener in the 24th minute. Just before the halftime whistle, Chernihiv leveled the score through a header from Dzhilindo Bezhubchenko.

The winning goal arrived in the 86th minute after Maksym Yevpak intercepted a loose pass from the opposition. He calmly converted the one-on-one opportunity into the far corner, clinching the win for his team.

This result knocks one of last year's finalists out of the competition at this early stage. Epicentr now advances to the quarter-finals of the 2026/27 Ukrainian Cup.
