Portugal U17 head coach Filipe Ramos has selected a 23-man squad for the first round of the 2027 European Championship qualifiers, featuring 16-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr for the first time.
Previously, the son of the famous forward has represented Portugal at the U15 and U16 levels. Across these appearances, he has earned 13 caps and scored five goals, including two goals in four games for the U15 side and three goals in nine matches for the U16 team.
At the club level, Ronaldo Jr is currently part of the youth system at Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. He has netted three times in seven appearances so far this season.
Portugal will host three qualifying matches in November: against Andorra (November 11), Bulgaria (November 14), and Serbia (November 17). The team must finish in the top two of their group to advance to the next round of qualification.
