Mauro Cherubini has offered insight into the coaching changes at Parma, explaining the appointment of Alberto Gilardino. According to Cherubini, the club is focused on building a project that balances financial sustainability with professional competitiveness.
«Today marks the start of a new challenge for Gilardino. We have built a more complete squad and we understand the feelings of our supporters. Losing key players is never easy, but we are working on a project that can last over time by combining sustainability and competitiveness,» Cherubini stated.
The Parma official also warned against complacency regarding their top-flight status. «We do not take being in Serie A for granted; history does not guarantee our place. We want to raise our level of ambition and grow sustainably,» he added.
Gilardino is a motivated person. What I have always liked about him is his humility. He is not at Parma because of what he did as a player; he has earned everything starting from Serie D. He is coming off a difficult season and wants to make amends. Mauro Cherubini
