Bayern Munich have opted against entering the transfer market for a new left winger, choosing instead to put their faith in internal solutions. After missing out on their primary target Anthony Gordon, who preferred a move to Barcelona, the club's hierarchy have shifted their focus.
According to reports from Frank Linkesch in the German magazine "Kicker", Bayern have decided to promote Arijon Ibrahimovic to the first team. The 20-year-old will take over the number 22 shirt, previously worn by Raphael Guerreiro, and is expected to serve as the direct replacement for Luis Diaz.
This internal move comes as negotiations between Al-Hilal and Luis Diaz continue to gather momentum. The player's agent is currently in direct talks with the Saudi club, who have already bolstered their squad this summer with the signings of Crysencio Summerville and Ismael Saibari.
For Ibrahimovic, this marks a golden opportunity to establish himself after previous loan spells. While his time at Frosinone and Lazio was challenging, he impressed during his loan at Heidenheim last season. His strong finish to the campaign—scoring twice and providing an assist in his final three matches—helped secure his spot in the squad until 2028.
