Barcelona is set to receive 2.8 million euros from FIFA under the governing body's club compensation program. The payment covers the participation of 16 players who represented their respective national teams during the 2026 World Cup.
Under FIFA's structure, clubs are compensated for both the qualification period and the final tournament. During qualifiers, clubs receive 2063 euros per player per match, regardless of whether they played. During the final tournament, the daily compensation rate increases to 4330 euros per player, starting from the first day the player joins their national team camp.
Despite the payout, the total is lower than what Barcelona received following the 2022 World Cup, when the club earned 4.4 million euros for its players' participation.
