Alessio Romagnoli completes move to Al-Sadd
The 31-year-old Italian defender has left Lazio to join Qatari side Al-Sadd on a deal running until summer 2029.

Qatari club Al-Sadd has officially confirmed the signing of Italian defender Alessio Romagnoli. The 31-year-old has signed a contract valid until the summer of 2029 and will wear the number 26 jersey.
According to reports, the transfer fee for the Italian international was three million euros. The Qatari side had previously attempted to secure the player during the winter transfer window, but the deal did not materialize at that time.
During the previous season, Romagnoli played 37 matches for Lazio and scored one goal. He now joins a side that has started the Qatari league campaign strongly, securing six points from their opening two matches.
Al-Sadd currently sits at the top of the league table. Their next challenge is scheduled for tomorrow, September 5, against Al-Gharafa.
